Friday!

Well today was Friday and everyone was in a good mood. =] So this morning in my 5th period class, in life science, we did all of this stuff to take DNA out of this wheat stuff. And my teacher let us take pictures if we wanted to. So obviously I did.

All of that bubbly looking stuff is part of the DNA. And then that cloudy looking stuff under it is too.

You can't really see the DNA, but it looked like boogers...and we had to take the DNA out ourselves...it was so gross!!

 

 

Then later that day I was at a party during lunch for all of the girls who were on the basketball team. We had pizza and cake and soda. =] I had 4 slices of pizza, like 5 full cups of cherry Pepsi and a HUGE piece of cake!!! Gosh I was so full afterwards.

And it was going to be my coaches birthday tomorrow anyways, so we brought cake. =]

Awesomeness

Well I made the decision to only post once a week. This blog would be filled up if I posted every single day...but here are some awesome pictures. =]

Ok a really big bird got caught in a piece of trash that somehow got caught in my tree. Its foot was all tangled up in the trash. So my mom got a ladder and cut off the trash from the tree...and when it got free, it flew away fast

Best School Day

Ok today was so awesome!!!! I woke up 45 minutes earlier than I usually do and got all ready. And I had 2 waffles with syrup and chocolate milk. =] All of that was before 6 a.m. And then the BEST TEACHER EVER, Mr. Flores finally came back to school. =] On the last week before school got out in December, he twisted his ankle pretty badly, and banged it up horribly. So we had to have a sub. And we also had one for one week after we came back to school. And then today he came back!! It was so great. Everyone was so happy and in a great mood. =] He was on crutches and his leg had a cast thing on it. But otherwise he seemed pretty happy to be back at school. I'm going to post more pics of him and me. :) I'm serious, he deserves way more than a Grammy award!!!! All 4 of my sisters had him as a teacher, and they absolutely loved and respected Mr. Flores because he was (and still is) the best teacher ever. I am most definitely going to do a separate post just about him, and about how great he is. Anyways, as you can tell, Mr. Flores is 94% of why today was so great. :) And then after school, walking home with my friends was pretty crazy and fun. We were really happy and relieved and loopy (another word for high;) and just plain crazy. =] That's how we roll. And I also took pictures...here they are.

Memorial Day

Ok I did nothing today. I just slept in until 11:30. I'm serious. My dad came into my room at 6:30 this morning thinking I had to be at the bus stop....because at that time I would be! Haha. =] These pics below I found on Pinterest and printed them out and colored them. =]

So true...

Haha I do that almost everyday after school =]

Church Sunday

So today, (the 19th) was Sunday. So that means church. =] I always have the best time at church. Singing in choir, taking the sacrament, and seeing church friends. Its a great way to end the weekend...for me anyways. At school there is ALWAYS inappropriate jokes and always swearing and cussing. And it is really nice to go somewhere where there will be none of that, and we all have clean thoughts. :)
So for today's Sunday School lesson, we talked about how we are close to Jesus Christ, and how we can get closer to Him. And we wrote up on our white board about what we know for a fact about Him. And here is what we mostly wrote:
He is our Father
He is our creator
He loves us
He is perfect
He has a body of flesh (I wrote that :)
He forgives us
He knows all
and etc. Sorry I forgot the rest...
And then Sister Carruth, (my Sunday school teacher), read a lot of verses from the scriptures about Jesus and more about him. And we also wrote what we learned about him:
Supreme governor (I also wrote that:)
Omnipotent
Elohim
Well I obviously don't remember the rest but I guess we knew a lot about Jesus. =] And we had cupcakes for food. It was delicious!
Then for Young Women's we talked about having Jesus in our lives and why he is important in our lives. And we watched a video about why having Jesus in our lives is important. And it said that without him, ye can do nothing. Through the powers of Jesus Christ, our natures can be changed. He is that cometh to take away the sins of the world. And Jesus really is important in our lives. We must be firmly attached to him. He gave us many things such as Priesthood Power. His Atonement makes it possible for us to be resurrected and to repent and be forgiven so we can return to our Heavenly Father’s presence. And we also read the Living Christ. I have to be honest, I have never read that word for word. I guess I have never really read it. But it is pretty amazing. (: And I just have to put the last paragraph of the Living Christ on here.
"We bear testimony, as His duly ordained Apostles—that Jesus is the Living Christ, the immortal Son of God. He is the great King Immanuel, who stands today on the right hand of His Father. He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come. God be thanked for the matchless gift of His divine Son."
I think that's just so great! I know that Jesus Christ lives and that he is so very important in my life. =]
Well I absolutely have to say this: In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

At Church

So on Saturday the 18th, my family was assigned to clean the church. And so were other families. And the Lewis family, our family friend, was there too. So my friend Courtney had my phone while taking most of the pictures...

Bonfire!

So for mutual on Tuesday the 14th, we had a bonfire. We burned Christmas trees! So here are some fun pictures of that night.

New Year's Resolutions

Since it is the New Year's, I thought I should have some resolutions. So here they are:

*Keep my room clean at all times

*Have personal scripture study everyday

*Have personal prayer every morning and night and actually ponder them

*Keep my grades the way that are (A's)

*To stop dreading going to school the next day

*Wake up refreshed every morning and be happy to go to school

(BTW that's probably never going to happen)

*Think better thoughts

*Reduce the urge of wanting to cuss

*Do Personal Progress more often

*Get better at the flute and piano

*Hang out with friends more

*Work harder in my Pre-Algebra class

*Do my hair more often

*Eat healthier

*Write my sister Cathy more often

(She is on her mission in Argentina at this time)

*Learn the guitar

(I'm taking lessons with my dad :)

*Do homework before anything less important to do

I know that I have more, but I can't think of them this second. I'll probably post them when I do. =]



Christmas Break

Ok so I had 3 weeks for Christmas break! These last 3 weeks were well deserved =]
